Christmas & New Year Unity in Diversity Symposium: Let the Light Shine

Join us this holiday season for our online Unity in Diversity Symposium: Let the Light Shine. World-renowned spiritual leaders, musicians and artists from different religions and spiritual traditions will inspire us and help us navigate this time of transition. Through live lectures, workshops, concerts, and performances, we will deepen our understanding of the spiritual path and how we can march forward towards a bright future for ourselves and humanity. We will reflect on the past year and establish a new, enlightened vision for the coming year.

Matthew will be speaking on December 30, 5:30pm-6:45pm PT– Lecture Q&A -  Moving from an “Old Normal” to a New Normal: Wisdom from the Mystics

The entire symposium runs December 22-January 1. You may enroll at any time using the link below.

The teaching of Unity in Diversity was at the core of Swami Vishnudevananda’s mission. According to yoga and Vedanta philosophy, the one God or Ultimate Reality manifests as a multiplicity of names, forms, shapes, and colors. There is an underlying unity which supports our manifested diversity. “Unity” and “diversity” are one and the same and their essence is our own essence: pure existence, pure consciousness, and pure bliss.

Join us for this spiritual gathering and gain a direct glimpse of this truth. Through talks, concerts, spiritual practices, discussions, and more, we will participate in breaking down artificial barriers and experience the unity in our diversity.

Speakers Include:

Swami Swaroopananda, Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo, Snatam Kaur, Sopurkh Singh, John Perkins, Gaura Vani, Swami Sarvapriyananda, Shaykh Abdul Haqq Sazonoff, Father William Meninger, Matthew Fox, Mirabai Starr, Suba Ramesh Parmar, Ramesh Parmar, Nathan Katz, Daniel Matt, Swamimalai K. Suresh, Rabbi Alan Brill, Acharya Mangalananda, Father Dan Hines, Brant Secunda, Krishnan Namboodiri, Swami Hridyananda, Swami Brahmananda, Swami Paramananda, Jnaneshwari Chaitanya, Rukmini Chaitanya, and Family Yoga Teachers

Yoga for Peace Symposium: Activating a Global Shift - Nassau, Bahamas

  • Google Calendar ICS

Join Spiritual activists engaged in great movements of peace in the world - Matthew Fox, Alastair McIntosh, Pat McCabe, Philip M. Hellmich, and Swami Brahmananda - at the 12th Annual Yoga for Peace Symposium, “Activating a Global Shift,” at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat, in Nassau, Bahamas

How do we awaken and nurture the seeds of peace and social justice in the world?

In 1969, Swami Vishnudevananda had a vision here at the ashram that catalyzed his focus on peace through yoga for the rest of his life. An activist, an educator, and a visionary, he brought together people from all religions and mystical traditions to share and exchange and he trained yoga teachers, planting seeds of peace for them to bring into the world.

In these tumultuous times, we are honored to welcome four spiritual activists engaged in great movements of peace in the world, each deeply embodying their spirituality and impacting the world in important ways. They will inspire and guide us, and share what they’ve learned over the years and around the world working within themselves and on the ground to create peace.

Now is the time to tend to the seeds of peace within ourselves and each other.
