Interfaith Advent: Celebrating the Light of Solstice, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa Season - ONLINE

  • The Matthew Fox Legacy Project (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Matthew Fox joins Rev. Nóirín Ní Riain, and celebrated performers from Ireland Owen Ó Súilleabháin, and Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin as they offer Irish sacred music and storytelling at this Interfaith Advent celebration to honor the varied Festivals of Light and explore the mysteries they reveal. This season teaches us of resilience, finding light in the darkness, and the power of community.

We'll dive into what science reveals about the wonder of light, along with mystics who speak of the "spark of the soul" that never fades—the birth of divinity as a child of light, which each of us carries within.

Saturday, December 7, 9:00am – 11:00am PT

Opening Gala: Fox Institute of Creation Spirituality, Boulder, CO

You are cordially invited to join Matthew Fox, Susan Coppage-Evans, and the faculty and staff of the Fox Institute for Creation Spirituality at our Inaugural Celebration.

Not only will you experience a joyful celebration, you will be a part of the very foundation of Fox Institute. Our evening program at the historic Boulderado includes messages of hope through reinvention of work and education, a three-course meal, a sampling of silent auction items and dancing to Mass Hipsteria (an eleven-piece band that includes UCS alumni soloist David Sharp, DMin). Your presence and support are greatly appreciated.

When you register you will be given the opportunity to identify your level of support as Stepping Stone, Boulder, Flatirons or Rocky Mountains. All those levels of patronage help us to Build Hope for the Future!

Even If you cannot attend in person, RSVP and show your support by making a donation and/or purchasing a ticket that can be donated.

OPEN HOUSE

Get to know us! During the day on Saturday, stop by our classrooms at 1128 Pine Street (the south entrance of First Congregational Church of Boulder) directly across the street from the Hotel Boulderado. Faculty will be present to share a taste of the FICS pedagogy – from seminar-like panel discussions to short art-as-meditation experientials. Our staff will be present to answer questions and to give you a tour of the classrooms and newly remodeled Carriage House.
